So do all you early adopters of the Nintendo 3DS still have buyers remorse? Or has Nintendo been able to buy their way into your good gaming graces now? I am referring to the recent release of the second batch of free good will games that were released on the Nintendo eShop for your downloading pleasure. I have to say that the selection of free games on this second batch is quite good with the GBA classics Metroid Fusion and Mario Kart Super Circuit being at the top of my list.
I know when they reduced the price as much as they did only 6 months after being released that it left a very bad taste in my mouth. That plus the lack of quality games at the time really put a damper on my Nintendo 3DS playing habit. I have to say though that 20 free eShop games later and quality titles like Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D Land in my hand now that my time spent on the 3DS has gone back up in recent weeks.
I am just guessing of course but based on the latest sales figures that I am seeing on the charts that Nintendo has been able to weather the storm and things are starting to turn around for the 3DS. Apparently the hardware just passed the 11 million mark and the holiday numbers appear to be bigger than any other gaming hardware on the market right now. In terms of games that are out and coming soon they appear to gotten that mess cleared up as well with games likeĀ Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater 3D, Resident Evil andĀ Kid Icarus: Uprising on the way it looks like I will have plenty of reasons to keep playing my 3DS.
Kudos to you peruser ![]()
