Exciting DSi Ware Xmas News For DSi Owners

Well the folks over at Nintendo are delivering on another promise for the month of December. The word was given earlier this year that the Nintendo DSi team would be releasing their version of Wii Ware for the new DSi in the month of December. Just announced is newly released DSi Ware service that will go live on December 24th to anyone that owns one of the new DSi hand held units.

Only if you own a DSi will you be able to gain access this new DSi Ware store as it is an exclusive service being offered to DSi owners. The beauty of this new DSi Ware store is that they are starting off with 13 titles right out of the gate. Nintendo is also offering 1000 starter points to any DSi owner that logs into the new store after the December 24th start date. The price point range for the initial games being released range from the low end of 200 points to all the way at the top at 1000 points.

The first software download that most people are certain to get is basically because of the price point value which is zero meaning that this DSi Ware title is free and that is Moving Memo. Which is a basic calendar and note taker for those that want to incorporate the use of their DSi into a more real world use.

There are four games in this initial release that I think will do very well at the start of this new service. The first one is Dr. Mario, what else really needs to be said other than it’s a Mario game. The other game that looks to be a fun little distraction once in a while is the micro-game from  Wario Ware is Paper Aero-plane which comes with three modes. Single player, time attack and multi-player modes. The last two games are both in the same Brain Training genre they are mini releases of new Brain Age games. Each game will be focused on either arts or science depending on your preference and both incorporate the use of the DSi camera and microphone.

These titles along with the others that are being released should get the new DSi Ware service off to a good running start for Xmas. I really can not wait for the DSi to take it’s rightful place as the DS of choice for the rest of the world. How long before the DSi finally takes over the rest of the DS world?
